Community College and University Trustees in Texas are required by statute to participate in training established by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Each fall, the Coordinating board hosts a conference to provide training on accountability, conflicts of interest, ethics, financial management, and the budgeting process-all specific to governing Community Colleges in Texas.

The state of Texas also requires trustees to participate in training on the Texas Open Meeting Act and Public Funds Investment. These are located in the respective links on this page.
